Contlaw Place is located approximately 6 miles from the centre of Aberdeen City in the suburb of Milltimber. This semi-detached single storey bungalow built around the 1950’s had been subject to some damp issues in the front elevation above skirting level. On exposure, areas were found to be damp due to debris that had accumulated over possibly many years. Remedial work was carried out to both main rooms, and a small section in the rear bedroom, along with the plasterwork and refitting of the finishings.
Treatment for Anobium punctatum (common furniture beetle – woodworm) was also carried out in the attic of the property.
