This property near New Aberdour in Aberdeenshire was built in the late 1930’s by Wing Commander David Vaughan Carnegie using stonework from the nearby church in Aberdour, and is sited on an area of historical interest.
We were asked to carry out a woodworm survey at Dundarg Castle for the most recent owners prior to it being listed for sale, which we were very happy to do.
Active woodworm was found throughout the property, but not to the extent where any serious damage found. Light to moderate outbreaks to some of the finishings and the usual rafters and floorboards within tower room. All in all, eleven areas were treated.
